How much does photo booth hire cost in Edinburgh?
Photo booth hire in Edinburgh with Bubble costs from £399 to £699, depending on how long you want the booth for. There are three photo booth hire packages, and each one includes the booth of your choice, unlimited photo sessions and an attendant who runs everything on the night.
The Party Starter: 2 hours from £399
The Party Starter is the shortest hire and suits birthdays, ceilidhs and evening receptions where the booth is one part of a busy night. You get your choice of booth, unlimited photo sessions, a big box of quality props, a friendly uniformed attendant and free delivery within 20 miles of EH1.
The Main Event: 3 hours from £499
The Main Event is our most popular package for weddings and parties. It has everything in the Party Starter, plus a personalised print design, a photo booth guest book with double prints, so one copy goes in the book and one goes home, and an online gallery to share after the event.
The All-Nighter: £699
The All-Nighter keeps the booth open all evening, from the first dance to last orders. It includes everything in the Main Event, with priority print design and the full online gallery. It is the simplest choice when you do not want to pick a start and finish time.
What is included in the price?
Every package comes with the same essentials, so the price you are quoted is the price you pay for the hire itself. As standard you get:
- A professional DSLR camera and studio lighting for flattering photos
- Unlimited photo sessions, so guests can go back as often as they like
- Prints in about 8 seconds, touch-dry and waterproof
- A print overlay designed by our in-house designer
- A massive box of props
- A uniformed attendant for the whole hire
- Set-up around an hour before you start, and pack-down afterwards
- Full insurance, PAT testing and £2 million public liability cover

You can use any of our four booths with any package: the inflatable Bubble Booth, which fits up to 10 people, the flower wall photo booth, the open air photo booth for big groups, or the black and white photo booth.

If you want a guest book and photos to share afterwards, the Main Event is the best value. If the booth only needs to cover the busiest part of the night, the Party Starter does the job for less.
What affects the price of photo booth hire?
Three things change what you pay: how long you hire the booth for, where your venue is and which extras you add.
How long you hire the booth
Hire length is the biggest factor, which is why the packages are built around 2 hours, 3 hours and all night. The booth is set up before your hire starts, so you only pay for the time your guests are using it.
Where your venue is
Delivery, set-up and pack-down are included within 20 miles of EH1, which covers the city centre, Leith, Portobello, Musselburgh and South Queensferry. Some East Lothian venues are further out than that, so tell us the venue when you enquire and we will confirm any travel in your quote. See where we go on our photo booth hire Edinburgh and photo booth hire Scotland pages.
The time of year
Christmas parties have their own offer this year. Companies that book a corporate Christmas party photo booth in October or November 2026 save over 25% on any package and get a free double print upgrade, with festive photo strips designed around their brand. The offer ends on 30 November.
Add-ons
You can add extras such as a photo booth guest book, LED LOVE letters or an event photographer. The guest book is already included in the Main Event and the All-Nighter. Anything you add is included in your quote before you book.
Tip from the Bubble team
Ask your venue what time you can get into the room before you enquire. We set up around an hour before the booth opens, so knowing the access times early makes the day run smoothly. Our guide to photo booth hire times explains how set-up, event time and pack-down fit together.
Is a photo booth worth the money?
For most weddings and parties, yes. A photo booth keeps guests entertained between the meal and the dancing, gets people mixing who might not otherwise meet, and leaves you with relaxed, funny photos that a photographer working the room rarely gets. Guests also take a print home, so it doubles as a favour.

It is less worthwhile if your guest list is very small or the evening is short and formal. If you are not sure, read our photo booth hire FAQs or ask us about your plans. For what it is worth, 99% of our 43 Facebook reviewers recommend Bubble.
Which photo booth package is right for me?
Answer three questions and the choice usually makes itself.
- How long is your evening? If the party runs from the meal to the last song, the All-Nighter saves you choosing a start time. For a 3 to 4 hour reception, the Main Event is usually enough.
- Do you want a keepsake? If you want a guest book and an online gallery, choose the Main Event or the All-Nighter. The Party Starter does not include them.
- What is the occasion? For weddings, the flower wall is a favourite. For office parties, the corporate booth can carry your branding on every print.

Three we recommend looking at first
- The Main Event: 3 hours from £499 with a guest book, personalised prints and an online gallery. Our most popular package for weddings.
- The Bubble Booth: our inflatable signature booth, lit from inside and big enough for up to 10 people at once.
- The Flower Wall: a flower wall backdrop made with real-looking artificial flowers, with studio lighting, a favourite with couples for wedding photos.
How to get the best value from your photo booth hire
- Enquire early and book within 7 days. You get an extra hour free on the Party Starter and the Main Event.
- Match the hours to your timings. Think about when your guests will be free. Running the booth from after the meal into the dancing usually works better than starting it during the speeches.
- Pick the package that already includes what you want. If you would add a guest book anyway, the Main Event already has one.
- Give us your venue details up front. We can then confirm delivery and set-up straight away and avoid surprises.
- Plan the set-up time. Our guide to photo booth hire times covers what to ask your venue.
